Heat Resistant Padding

#1 Post by Jarrettvp » Mon May 29, 2017 5:38 pm

I've stripped off the silver heat resistant padding off the battery box and a few other parts which have gone off for re painting. Anyone know where I can get replacement padding from?

A bit of a late response this one, but if you don't want to buy this stuff from the USA, it's called Thermotec heat shielding and it's available from UK distributors at this link:

I used it on mine and it's been great.

Thanks. I was just about to get some as I'm at the point where I'm fitting the battery case and a few other bits where I have stripped off the padding. I'll get it from the UK as I'm based in the U.K.

If I remember correctly I bought a 24" x 30" sheet from Advantage Motorsport. It did both side panels, the back of the battery box and the daft bits under the rear exhaust/rear mudguard. Just make sure the panels are scrupulously clean so that it doesn't peel off.
