Steering Bearing Part Numbers
I did a seach but couldn't find an answer.. Does anyone have the manufacturer part numbers of the headset bearings? Rather than order up All Balls or get originals I'd rather head down to my SKF/NTN bearing supplier and get them over the counter.

Re: Steering Bearing Part Numbers
Bottom bearing: KOYO 32006 JRRS (sealed) (Yamaha: 93332-00008)
Top bearing: KOYO 32005 JR (Yamaha old number: 93332-00023, new number: 93332-00001 )
Original price in europe: ~100€ for both (Yamaha), ~40-50€ on ebay for the same bearings
http://www.ebay.at/itm/1-KOYO-Kegelroll ... 5651e0ab83" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.ebay.at/itm/270954982840?ssP ... 1439.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (32005 X => you get the 32005 JR)
If it`s not nessecary that they are original KOYO bearings just search for "32006 RS" and "32005".
Don`t buy aftermarket sets, the seal for the bottom bearing in this sets is a extra part, the original bearing have no extra parts.

Re: Steering Bearing Part Numbers
Hi Folks
Some life into an old post....I am busy searching for replacement steering bearings for my RZV project.
Obviously I need to do the seals as well, following on the advice from this thread, I tried getting genuine Koyo bearings from the Koyo agents here in South Africa....problem is they seem to have brain fade the minute I mention that they must have the rubber seal and then say "no we don't do those, etc"
Ebay is a long winded affair for me...so looking at other options.
Is the seal available as a separate item?
I noticed that the bottom seal seams to fit many kawasakis ...KX65 etc, top seal same thing but different models such as the venerable KDX 200.
I could go to them but after paying a crazy amount for needles and seats for an ER5 from them, I am hesitant.
Appreciate any tips

Re: Steering Bearing Part Numbers
Thanks Steve....gonna check around and see if they are stocked locally.
One of the members has also offered me a genuine Koyo set which I am also considering. ...I am by nature quite impatient once I start something so am angling for a locally held item.
The RZV lower seal doesnt sit correctly on tbe raised boss on the R6 lower triple clamp so i am keen to get hold of a new seal so I can see how to sort that out.
