I didn't specify the length. I just ordered stock +/- 5mm. I expect Wilbers to know the stock length. I'm planning to use the stock swingarm (hopefully with a brace welded on), so I'm not looking for any length change, just a little range for minor adjustment.

I have a Wilbers on my bike with remote reservoir and ride height adjustment. The ride height is great especially if converting rear of bike. It has been on the bike for 5 years. Good ride and numerous track days with great performance. Plenty of fine tuning adjustment. I love our bikes but with a good shock it is even better. Might plan on full service before next year.

Is your Wilbers shock OEM length, and do you have 17 inch wheels? Just curious if you were able to raise the rear enough with the shock adjuster.

Thanks for the advice. I'm also using an '06 R6 swingarm. :smt023

Thanks again for calling Paul. Great to talk to you.

Smoker, do you need contact info for the Wilbers rep?

I will be ordering tomorrow :D

BTW, stock shock is 11.4 inches = 290 mm

Remember the 640 can not be ordered with ride height adjust, but can be ordered longer or shorter at no cost. The 641 can be ordered with ride height adjust.

I just sent this out to the original 5 interested parties.

Hi guys. I have been away for a few days.

Jason has placed his order!

I will order tomorrow a 640 at +3/8 inch length.

Is anyone else still in? I hope so.

Remember the 10% sale will expire Thursday at COB. Not sure exactly what time that is, but best not to push it. Last time I spoke to Ted was late in the evening as he was so busy due to the sale. Just getting thru on Thursday may be challenging.

Yes, please!

I will try to call the rep tomorrow because I have some questions before I can order.

Don't we just specify the shock length? I thought there is only one type of ride height adjuster which will have a fixed adjustment range. I don't get the +/- numbers. :smt017

The Wilbers rep is Ted Porter.

Ph: 831-438-1100 ext 113
Cell: 831-420-7776
Fax: 831-438-1104

Give him a call and he will go over everything. The ride height adjustment is a range around the nominal height. So in my case I wanted a stock length shock (290mm) with length/height adjuster that lets me set the length to anywhere between 285mm and 295 mm (+/- 5mm). The adjustment range isn't an option. It's +/- 5mm.

Remember the spring weight needs to be more if you have a longer swing arm. I have 2006 R6R swing arm, weigh around 170 to 180 with gear, and have a 1,045 pound spring.

Placed my order tonight, Ted thought we had 4, he will count invoices tonight and find out.
I ordered the 640 which Wilbers sells as 295 mm. If you want the stock 290 you have to say so.

Yeah, I had to guess on the spring, since the bike isn't even built, yet.
Pretty sure I read that Rick Lance recommends an approx. 1100 lb spring with the '06 R6 swingarm.

I have the same swingarm, and am about 173 lbs with riding gear.

Ted Porter gave me the spring specs:

200 nm = 1147 lb
190 nm = 1086 lb
180 nm = 1028 lb

I'm guessing that you have a 190 nm spring. I chose the 180 nm spring because I think my bike will be lighter (naked body and carbon fiber monocoque with smaller aluminum tank, titanium hardware, etc).

I might even need a softer spring!
