Short on bike vid

Great to be back on bike. Was a really hot day and my knee was a bit sore so not pushing as much as I would have. My lines were off all day. The Ride Smart group puts too many bikes on track. Towards the end of day or last session traffic is better due to everyone being exhausted from the heat. They also do not allow passing from turn 3 all the way to turn 9.

Bike ran great but started to get warm so I usually cut session by a lap. Tire wear was even better than last time. Picked a nail up at my property so had to get a new rear slick. One weekend on other tire, bummer. Hit hard parts a few time and actually hit the body work on the left. Must of been on the curbing.

I was wondering about running the 2 stroke on a busy track.

Glad you had a good time.

Damn that was cool. What sort of mount did you use for the camera, the view and audio is perfect. My kids got me a GoPro for fathers day and the helmet mount produced irritating results.

I have Siver Go pro. It is on their recommended setting. I used a direct mount to tank right in front of gas cap. There is a slight vibration noise but I think it is the he gas cap being picked up by the camera. I always take a small piece of thin foam and put over the microphone to cut down wind noise.

The bike does hold its own. I know the track well enough to give the liter boys a run. Missed my only event there a few weeks ago. Only one day any temp was to be 100 degrees. I and the bike are good for only two respectable laps. Another event next month that I am hoping to do. Really praying for rain.

Bike is rock solid. You need to come out in August.

Paul, what final gear ratio are you running at COTA? I am going to 17/40 next but thats about the tallest I can get for my rear wheel (CBR900RR). My motor peaks at 9900 RPM with little overrev, so this will result in only less than 240 kph at max. power. Where is your peak power?

Sorry have been busy. I have a 17 front and 44 rear. Changing since will not be doing COTA for a while. Noticed this with the 17 tooth sprocket. I Run a real loose chain at the track and this was after 3 weekends and probably 5 sessions a day. I was worried about the clutch push rod and it is fine. Sprocket wear is perfect.

Will find the dyno sheets. And missed another weekend at COTA. Been busy with AC work and saw temperature in Austin was 102 degrees today. Something about that did not sound fun.
