THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
First event of the year. Rained most all day. Was nice of John at RD's Only Texas to help install the rain tires and soften the suspension. Bike was flawless as usual. Rick the carburetors worked well even in the soaking rain. By the way what do you think of the throttle input? Sounds much better. I checked the braking a few times and if I wanted could of stopped in the same place as dry but decided to keep it upright during the heavy rain. When it was just wet was running times close to the dry. Passed only 3 times by liter bikes on rain tires also. The track drains so well and the surface is, well, perfect!!!! Two more videos to follow. Someone please remind me how to embed the video.

Re: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
Fair play, I think I would have stayed indoors drinking coffee on the rain day!
Looked like you was flying on Sunday, bike sounded fantastic, as always.

Re: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
Rain just improves your riding and throttle control. It was wet but temperatures were ok. It quit raining one session and track started to dry and ran pretty good pace. What is nice is lack of traffic. I still have to show the bad.
Re: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
Nice. What is your sprocket set up again? Are you o 180/60/17 tires?
On the back straight, are you entering in 1st or 2nd? Are you running up to 5th or 6th on the back straight?
Either way, that is a long time at WOT - Fun times hehe. Is your left hand covering the clutch?

Re: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
Running a 180/55 on back. Now at 44 rear and 17 front. Enter all the tight corner normally in second unless I am really trying to catch someone. I just need to trust the bike and carry the speed thru the corners. I am now topping out right before the overhead advertising into 12. Ty Howard was following me and remembered i did 127 mph in November during his class and he said he was curious and looked at his speedo and i was at 138 now. I still need to move my bralke markers 50 to 75 meters further. I always have my hand on the clutch. Sunday was cool and the bike was running with slight tan on tip of plug.
Re: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
138 is about right. Speed at 10500 with those tires and sprockets computes to 140mph with stock RZ500 transmission.
I use the Gearing Commander website for all my sprocket change calculations.
Helps predict chain length and link counts as well.
180/55 with 44 & 17 sprockets
For comparison stock RZ500 wheel size and stock sprockets @ 10,500rpm - assuming mods to allow pulling 10,500rpm

Re: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
I figured 140 if I had a good corner exit at 11.

To all interested the crash video will be up for a while in the engine section under fuel petcock. I will be removing it soon like a bad dream.
Re: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
Bike looks fantastic - the Valvoline colors suit it very well.
