Heat Cycle

#1 Post by PaulGreen » Wed Dec 12, 2018 5:24 pm

Hi,

I'm hoping to get this fired up tomorrow. I've seen heat cycling referred to many times on here - I've never done it before on any bike I've had.
There doesn't seem to be much info on what the best practise is?

At a guess, start the bike, bring up to temp, let it cool down again and then re-torque the head bolts?

Any input apreciated.

Thanks,
Paul.

Perfect Paul, Thats all I ever do, Get the temps up and then let it go stone cold, Retorque and you should be good,
I usually check them after its first ride also, But they are usually fine..
