Power valve seal orientation

#1 Post by Bengt Weil » Fri Jan 19, 2018 10:08 pm

Can someone please verify for me the proper orientation of the power valve seal when installing it in the Holder? I have heard of the seal being installed backwards and was not able to see the orientation on the parts fiche or the service manual and was unable to find any references/pictures searching the web site.

Install with lettering on seal lip facing outward and the 6 symmetrical projections facing inward toward the cylinder

OR

Install with the 6 symmetrical projections facing outward and the lettering on the seal lip facing toward the cylinder

Thanks!

You need the open sealing end facing inboard and the 6 castellations facing outboard.
