The same company that did it before is doing it this time I would like to thank all my parts are made in Japan but they Outsource just like Americans do, I believe choreo has a massive bearing operation in China, what matter to me was quality and that was it and that's what I found

I asked Yambits about their crank parts...centre sections, webs, bearings, pins. Their response today was that their centre sections, webs, and pins are from Taiwan. Bearings and labyrinth seal are from Japan. Sounds like you are on that same path, but offering complete assemblies at an attractive cost. If there was another supplier besides Taiwan and you we would have seen it by now.

Look to the Yambits pictures... they sell TZR webs as RD500 (if you get what you see on the picture).
But they also have a wrong picture for the crank bearings (also TZR250 bearings shown on the RD500 picture) => the position of the groove is different.

The photos are generic Michael, meaning the same photos are used for multiple listings. It's common practice among vendors. EBay as well.

I think my crank peeps are pretty smart I asked for Koyo bearings and after a week they told me those big bearings on the clutch side are Yamaha's and only Yamaha's...that is why I went with TPI, there are crank companies everywhere, Japan Taiwan China Brazil India everywhere, it's not to hard to find them.

Maybe so, but they aren't making RZ500 cranks, or TZR250 cranks.

I got them from Koyo (1 week delivery time).
It makes a big difference where you ask - my experience is that most of the companies/dealers are not really interested in such "special" things. At least in Austria...
"Take what we have or f**k off"
They have many reasons why they can`t deliver what you are searching for.

TZR250 bearings were on stock. Seems that they both are nothing really special - but I think too special to fake them.
Ordered also both bearing types from Yamaha to compare them... No difference.

Hi John,

Did you already see one of the crank webs from Yambits?
If they are not TZR250 webs I would like to buy them and give them to our measurement technican to put it onto the 3D measuring machine.

Also PJME shows a picture of "wrong" crank webs for the 500.
http://www.pjme.co.uk/acatalog/Yamaha_R ... _End_.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you look at the backside (other side than the crank pin) there is a machined ring.
In case of a TZR250 crankshaft this ring is smaller than the diameter of the web, RD500 => ring has the same outer diameter as the crank web.

I think the TZR parts will fit and that`s the reason why they sell it like this.
Would be too expensive to manufacture outer webs for the 500 as there are 3 different types, so they only sell the "recycled" center parts.
For me this is simply wrong...

Send them an email and ask them about the cranks. They typically reply in 1 day. I see no difference in the center sections of RZ500 and early TZR250 cranks. The part numbers are different by prefix, 47X vs 1KT. I have both Yamaha cranks here and have never really paid much attention to it.
