Re: Crankshaft assemblies

Having had cranksets from Gus in my shop, I can attest to the quality. They are first rate and every bit as good as brand new stock. Same with the seal kits. Great stuff. I would highly recommend their use.
If I disagree with everyone, that doesn't make me right. If I take the side of only one, it doesn't end the fight. If my position's strong enough from exposure to the light, you may see things my way when we share the same highway.

I was told tonight that the crankshafts will be done by the new year, so hopefully some good news for some

Can you provide the seal kit with the 2 end caps, as before?

Being the new guy here, I don't know how this works. I don't have my engine disassembled yet but it is higher milage and it has been sitting, so I am sure bottom end new parts will be required. Can I request bening put on the list for both cranks, seals, etc.

Thanks, Frank

Excellent timing for me. I am in the collecting parts stage. I just got my "new" bike a couple weeks ago. I also have R6 forks and swing arm so far. My RZV frame should be landing next week. I will keep my eyes peeled for the crankshafts.

Thanks, Frank

These cranks if stored in original plastic/foam/cardboard should have a decent shelf life right?

I still have 3 sets from the original production run on the shelf - wondering if I should sell them on before they get stale and buy fresh ones :)

I heard in the past. There was a clearance issue with the rods clearing the case because of his crankshaft.

Gus sold a stroker set also, so quite likely they needed some case mods to suit. Makes sense. I'm sure someone more knowlegeable than me can clarify
