Couple of questions...
1. can I remove the clutch push rod from the left side (sprocket cover side) of the bike without anything unpleasant happening?
2. is that seal available or is there another seal number that will work?

1) You can pull it out.
There is a steel ball on the other side, but I think it can`t go anywhere.
Need to draw the engine parts in CAD soon
2) Old number is 371-15389-00
It is superseded by 93109-08061
Means, if you order the old number, you will get the new part.
They fit from technical view, but it can happen that they look different.
In case of the seal I think there will be no difference
