Connection tube between intakte manifolds missing

#1 Post by Motolli » Sat Jun 24, 2017 9:30 am

Hello Folks,

I just unmounted the carbs, as they are leaking as often known. The left elephant ear was flooded ;-)
Ok after all disassembled I saw, the connection tube between the inlet rubbers are missing, the holes are plugged. It is a 47X. Is this correct ? Or should I get some and mount them ? They should connect two carbs and give more mixture to the cylinders.
Cheers Olli

Hi Olli,

You should find some of the crossover tubes. My early research and testing indicated a 4% loss in power when removing the tubes.

I will leave them out, it was done by Armin collet. His mechanic where I got the. Bike from mentioned, his carb setup works only perfectly without them. I can confirm the bike runs like hell ;-) . Gas will swing better at higher revs. I will get some JL pipes this week, lets see the outcome... maybe some adjustments are needed then anyway
