RZ 500 anyone in Texas work on a an RZ for me?

#1 Post by Orlando7 » Wed Mar 22, 2017 1:41 pm

Hi there,
recently sold an RZ500 to someone in Texas.
It started fine before it left and idled etc.
When it got there the battery was low and when the buyer tried to start it it run for about a minute then cut out. After that it wouldn't start.
He charged the battery added new gas and now it won't start hardly at all and when it does only on one or two cylinders just for a few seconds.
Is there anyone on this board living in Texas who works on these bikes. Of course professionally or otherwise I will foot the bill for this of course.
Thanks Steve

If it'd be a 350 it'd sound a bit like faulty source coils.
But as you proposed: better send someone quslified on site and check it

John can fix him up. Great guy and I can say rather knowledgeable. Where is he located. Tell him if issues with it to be careful such as flooded crankcase or something that could damage the engine. I feel patience is needed with the RZ until sorted, then have fun
