Yep. I wrapped some teflon tape around it and pushed it back in. A zip tie around the fuel hose to hold it up and be double sure.

Was it just dripping or what?

No, was going over the bike and noticed it would move easily.

Some green Loctite (bearing retainer) might be helpful.

Think I am installing a straight shut off and not worry about it again. Fuel and tires are a bad combo.

I mention before a 3MA under the tank petcock. It bolts right to the bottom of the tank

My ego is hurt. To think something as strange as that would take me down. Almost high sided exiting 12 at COTA. That was right after the high speed straight. Bucked me out of the seat. Slowed down went thru right and started to turn into 15 and all she wrote. Held on to the bar and stayed with bike. CRG has the two parts on the way already. I have the video with camera looking me straight in the face. My shield was dark at the time. Two spots to touch up on side panel and belly. Rode in the rain all day Saturday with zero incidents.

Sorry to hear about the mishap.

I decided to avoid the entire fuel tap issue and just have 2 quick disconnects.

Ouch :???: .

Good to read it is only damaged parts at the end.
I'll check carefully my petcock when it is time to reassemble it.
