Carb service while down

#1 Post by pstamper » Mon Jan 02, 2017 10:22 pm

Getting carburetor service done while waiting for new fork springs. Everything looked good when taking apart. Only worn parts was one fuel line between carbs was rather hard. Float bowls were spotless.

Hi can you tell me what those emulsion tubes/needle jets are? They appear to only have two holes drilled through instead of the 7 holes (full power bikes) or 5 holes restricted RZV.
I ask because I have had no end of fun (hassle) playing around with various N-8 and O-0 tubes to get my bike to run sweet and yours look like you would get a serious rich mixture.
Cheers
Trevor

Those were some type of special ones Rick Lance had for his carb mods. He and I have talked about the mods he has done. It is a lot of work to get them right. I do not think you can even find those anymore. These are the carbs off the track bike and run really well.
