ROUND EXHAUST GASKET

I just noticed that the missing gasket between the can and the muffler is round,like the end of the muffler.On most of the bikes I have looked at they have a square gasket and square end on the silencer,can anyone explain to me the difference,cheers https://www.dropbox.com/s/rcte928h0d82z ... 2.jpg?dl=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Have a scroll down here and you will see the 47x spec bikes had round flange lower exhaust and the latter 1ge spec bikes had square flanges.
