frame is ready for welding , just a patch on the frame spare under it and the 4
mountings , it will have to go again once ive sorted the front ones
got a mate to make me some spacers 1mm wider than the engine so it allows .5 of a mm
each side for powder coating
the spacers make sure the welder gets them spot on width for the engine

once i got the frame back from welding i booked it in with kenny at tsa to make me some pipes for it
i know his work as i have his exhausts on my rs250 and my tzr250 3xv ,his exhausts all work very well

but before that i had to make a front engine mount and get a few more bits bolted to it so the pipes would be clear of everything

it fits like a glove with the 2 spacers ,

Bloody hell mate :)

So you say there are some complete motors up for grabs in Italy?

Talk about an excessively frivolous Xmas present LOL.

Hmmm - think the V-lump will fit in a TZ frame??

I contact Piero re the engines.

The 130BHP are 7,500 euro without carbs but he can supply them along with manifolds

He also has the standard engine with the updates and will take carbs for 5000 euro

Overall a good buy I think

What's the power numbers on the standard jobs?

I would assume that hey have pipe specs for the 130bhp monsters available.

ask piero , i can give you some pipe dimentions used on the other rs500 build thread from on here
i go them from the lad that he got the numbers from
mine are tsa and you would have to ask kenny for them as thats his info and i dont have it

I have an email into Piero.

ask him if he will put say 500 $ on the import for the engine or less if not you will get smashed with the big import charges ?
carbs are pretty easy to get and if no inlet manifold but i think there is,
frp make a really nice one but its about 480 euro i think
run it using a zeel v24 box , the ones he sells are fully sorted reliable motors
that can run on premix .
piero is a nice helpful fella ,he will help you all he can

RC45, Link says 2004 was 130hp, 2003 bike was 120 hp. Earlier is less, 2nd link says 110hp. Crankcase issues/crank seals? Aftermarket cases?

Turns out that the "fueling problem" is only half truth. Bob Steinbugler at Bimota Spirit found the actual problem - leak prone crankshaft seals!
Makes sense right?! Erratic power delivery with injection or carbs...
He has cast his own case halves to accept a proper beefy 2-stroke crank seal and offers them for sale separately or will rebuild your entire engine. -- JT

ns86 my bike has been modyfied with bigger better crank seals
piero swapped all the cases on all the bikes made as he had new ones made himself
the engines he has are last generation fully modified with new cranks , seals, cases ,barrels, con rods
as it gets rid or the oil pump feeding oil down the web centers to feed sealed big end and little end bearings
and does it like a normal 2 stroke engine it can run pump or pre mix
things have moved on a bit since that was written

The VDue's themselves where starter-motor setups rather than kick starters, correct?

Are the only options for electrics, carbs and pipes 3rd party bits?

you can buy electrics new but ecu is like 1k without loom
starter motor only i just got 1 new for 220 euros but engine would come with one
ask piero how much with electrics he has everything .
but zeel is better and fully programmable as well
guido in germany does full loom with zeel with maps already in plug and play
i used mk2 rs 250 loom as i wanted those clocks , it was the easyest way to add zeel to rs loom just same as putting a zeel on rs250
uses same wires but fires both coils at same time for the bimota engine
you can get jollymoto pipes but they are for v due bike and cant see them fitting anything else as 1 pipe goes up through the hole where rear shock goes
i have pwk carbs on mine

Well, I would be after a track GP replica setup, so only an analog rev counter would be needed for instrumentation and I suppose only a kill switch.
No need for dash idiot lights or any other street lighting/signaling bits.
Sounds like a custom/cut down Zeel setup would work.
Pipes would be best custom made to the required specs. If I was going to use the motor on the NS500 replica, I would try get the pipes laid out similar to the NS500, with the lower pipe coiled up under the engine and the upper going out under the seat.
I have a set or HRC RS500 pipes to use as patterns.
