If I had the extra cash, would go for it, does a new R1 cost 14000 lbs in the UK? They are around 8000 lbs here in the US.

Worth every penny. I'd gladly sell a couple of mine to buy it if it was near me. A rare opportunity.

The current uk list price for a R1 is £13899

So makes this v-due cheap in comparison imo

Current list for a R1 here is 14300 USD or 8800 BPD, can be bought for 8000GPD, that makes that v-due a great deal, it will only go up in value and the R1 will only depreciate. Why is an R1 so expensive in the UK?

I think this V-Due is a great deal. I agree, the value can only go up if it's kept as it is.

Why is the R1 so expensive here? Tax, tax, more tax and greed.

BPD? GPD?

The V-due has very high miles though, 25 total, but I guess it may of been pushed 24 miles, anyways if it was here I would find a way to buy it!

Yep..it has huge mileage for a Vdue. Lol

It doesn't matter. It's a carbed bike and I'd be buying it to ride it. I'm not one for turning bikes into home museum pieces. If you own it, ride it.

Maybe I'll win the lottery and fly over and bring it home myself. A guy can dream I guess.

Happy Holidays!

I don't think an R1 is the right comparison, more a Triumph Street Triple 675, Daytona or an MV Brutale 675 or Agusta 675. Light, powerful and cheaper.

What it is is an
AWESOME ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION!
I think spares are more readily available for an RD500 than other strokers due to numbers manufactured and the support of Yamaha for the model.

So few made and none will have reached high mileage and what problems and climb downs with the initial models to just get it on the road. I wouldn't give it high points for expected reliability.

Brilliant for a collection, but not exactly useable.

The only comparison made to the R1 was price
If I had that amount of spare cash I wouldnt be buying the R1 to see how much depriciation there would be as soon as a mile was put on it
Vdue is a better investment
