Seems we're all getting screwed over if were using Photobucket to host our images. They now want $399 a year to allow 3rd party hosting. All mine have now been replaced by a generic image suggesting I upgrade.

Im at less than 20% usage on my allocation, so its not based on usage.

I for one will not be paying one red cent

If they dont reverese the decision ill be deleting my account

Mine are still there, but I expect they'll soon be gone like yours Dave. I saw that same grey upgrade box on another forum last night.

Photobucket sucks now. For the past year it has been getting slower and slower and more and more useless. Fuck Photobucket.

You can resize your photos and post here as attachments. Keep the size limit to 256K. That is plenty. You can only attach 2 pics per post, so post as many times as needed to get the job done. If you go to your account settings you see "Manage Attachments" so you can keep it all under control.

If you go to the bottom of my thread page you'll see some of my attachments http://www.rzrd500.com/500phpBB3/viewto ... &start=180" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I still think that TZR looks very much out of place in your garage John. Remember to give me a call if yo need help sorting that problem out.

Its also a bit unfortunate that you cant find a bit of time to clean those bike up a bit before you post pictures.

Re Photobucket, I read that folks are seeing their stuff drop off since June 21st. Mine went yesterday.

I suspect you won't be happy until all of my bikes are in your garage. I suppose that as your enabler I really should do more to feed your addiction.

We can talk about it over lunch in Pembroke. Let me know when the time is right.

Once they stop allowing 3rd party links they cease to be useful and I might as well delete it all and close my account. Great business plan. Alienate the people that you want seeing the ads you show; the same ads that generate the income to keep you in business. The beginning of the end. Good fucking riddance.

I have to agree John. Bloody frustrating. All the forum posts on all the forums are kinda worthless without pics. Pics are worth a thousand words!!

Yep. Learning how to do something or sort out a problem is far easier with photos. Selling, buying, etc. Without photos a lot of it is pointless.

I wonder how attachments affect the forum's monthly bandwidth? If we have to start using attachments will it be a problem? If it isn't, can we increase the max size from the current 256K? Can we change the 2 per post limit as well?

What are the other hosting options?

Not sure it its accurate or not but I read on another forum that PB only blocks the photos after you sign in to your account (post June 21).

So, if true, I'd recommend not signing into PB until you start using a different hosting option.

So all the images you have ever posted from PB are gone. I bet if you pay their fee they will magically reappear. Sounds like extortion to me. All my Images are still up, I have not and will not sign in to PB again. Hopefully the images will remain on the forum. Great bit of advice Dave, Thanx

When did the Russians take over Photobucket?

I signed in a couple of days ago. Just waiting for the axe to fall, then I'll delete the PB account.
