Catastrophic failure

#1 Post by hybrid » Fri Feb 03, 2017 9:40 pm

Hi all,
yesterday at around 4pm Sydney Summer time (currently GMT +11), my hosting provider had massive failure on the system hosting my server.
The end result was that they lost everything.

Tom and I had worked together to do daily backups and store them elsewhere, so we're back online now. Unfortunately, there were some holes in my backup plan.
The database for the parts section was not included in our daily backups, so it's gone.

I'm trying to think of a way we might have had a copy of a very old version of it (I don't think it would have changed all that lately), but at the moment I'm coming up with nothing.

Anyway, the main site is back now and we will have to have a think about what we can do with the parts section.

That is a strange one.
I hope that was a once-off. Nothing should have changed there.

Hi fellas, I've been away from the site all year ☹️, and I couldn't find that video that was made by Yamaha, a sort of travelogue across Italy I think. Was that lost as well?
