2011 Laguna Seca MotoGP Weekend

#1 Post by rztom » Mon Jul 11, 2011 10:38 am

Hey guys, anybody here going to the Laguna Seca MotoGP next week? Bringing your two-stroke?

I've hooked up with Yamaha again this year for parking passes in their parking corral for our strokers. If you have a Yamaha and want to park with us send me a PM with your mailing address so I can get them mailed out this week.

They have moved the parking corral this year from the usual Turn 5 location to down in the lakebed area just outside of the Yamaha Marketplace, where the bandstand used to be set up. If you got a track map with your tickets it'll be in the "green" parking area.

Also got dinner reservations at Jose's again for Sat. night.

Who's coming this year??

OK... just got a new deal from Yamaha

They are offering me special passes for Friday morning of race weekend to participate in a "Yamaha Manufacture laps, lead by Kenny Roberts & Eddie Lawson," where we get to ride Laguna Seca with the King and Eddie for a couple of laps...

I was told anyone from the club could participate as long as they were riding a Yamaha.

I have a short window of opportunity on committing to this, so who's willing to do this with me?? :smt023

What time would this take place? I won't be there on my RZ but plan on arriving at the track around 10 am on my FJ-1200.

That would be great to ride around the 'new' track-I last raced the old track on my '81 Yamaha Seca 550 with the AFM...ah the memories!

All you'll need is a Yamaha... doesn't matter what flavor

I posted the Friday morning schedule below.... but you should be there early to get the passes from me to make sure you're hooked up. Do you have a "green" parking pass to get to the Yamaha parking corral? Cuz that's where we'll be staging everything.... if not PM me your mailing address

9:30am - 10:00am Track Inspection
