#1 Post by vma500 » Wed Aug 20, 2014 7:26 am

Just red some about it on maranellos and Ricks site
Rising the export 1,5 mm? Still enough midrange gain What ur thoughts about this..?...rising the rz/rd port is not so erratic coz the ppowervalve is adjusting the height ,unlike the rg one

I have a an rg500 with filters and Mark Dent pipes and would love to tune it but that puny gearbox makes me very nervous. As you say the tune itself is affordable its the upgraded gearbox price that spoils it for me.As it is my rg will very slightly pull away from my rd,maybe 5 bike lenghts to 130 where the rd sails past into the distance every time.To be fair the rd engine is only 7k miles after rebuild whereas rg seems to have been untouched at 18k miles all be it with compression levels well within spec.
Please keep diesels from our roads

exactly what i think also , don t doubt Mark Dents or R Norians tuningspecs and R lance his site is very informative .....so thank u Rick L.

but the tranny is not all of it , the balancer weights on the cranks can also come loose ,what u think about the pvs .....is half open same as full open ?, so nothing in between like the RD500 ?straight cut gearing ?

but it seem there s no other choice , it s buying the expensive parts or driving on an landmine

but not opened the tranny yet , the engine has only have done 2500km after service ,maybe the gears are already replaced hopefully
i only know when i start the engine soon .....i promisse some pics too from start up
