Re: Yamaha Germany TSI's
It says that the oil hoses are routed the wrong way on some RD500 and the hose can be bent at the edge of the crankshaft.
The correct way is to put it under the side cover.
It clearly says that it is wrong to route them trough the cover.
Looking to my engine this seems a bit funny...
The side cover has 2 rubber grommets and holes - designed for what?
My pictures also clearly show that the hoses are routed trough the cover and I will do it again on my bike.
Just checking that the hoses are not routed too tight around this corner.
Thanks for posting.
Edit: It`s from 1984
Why didn`t they change it for the 1GE bikes?

Re: Yamaha Germany TSI's
Every 500 that left the factory had the auto lube pipes fitted INSIDE the cover
The auto lube pipes even have marks on them to line up with the cover
Only ever seen this on a German TSI, seems like each Country had it only ideas about solving problems with no involvement from Japan
