Clutch Slave/Actuator
Does anyone know if the RZ/RD's clutch actuator cross references to any USA models. It looks identical to what Yamaha has used on all FZR400s and FZR/YZF600s from '89-'07. Unfortunately, the part numbers don't jive because identical parts will not share the same part number from USA to the rest of the planet. My clutch actuator has gone MIA. Replacing it will be a hell of a lot easier (and cheaper) through Evilbay if I can just use the FZR/YZF unit. Anyone have any insight? Thanks!

Ohio,
I recently purchase two for client's projects as the ball bearings were severely distorted or welded. Almost all Yamaha models from the 1960s through around 1990 used a similar actuator. Without hands on of the parts it'll be really hard to tell from the part numbers. I did a similar investigation that lead no where and finally found two of them, one ebay and one a private sale.
Best of luck and nice project you've got going. BTW are you the original Ohiosuperbike that built the BJ McDonald 'Butcher' engine so many years ago with the PM Wheels?

Here's a cheap trial and error one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1989-YAMAHA-FZR ... 2y&vxp=mtr" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
