RZ500 Vs RZV500 - Front sub-frame

#1 Post by YPVS KIWI » Mon Mar 19, 2012 3:24 pm

The front sub-frame where the clocks and headlight mount - can anyone tell me if they are the same for the RZ500 and RZV500R , my rz500 one is bent and I have chance of an RZV unit? I seem to remember there was some detail difference - but may have just dreamed it

Thanks
Mark.

The mounting tab/boss on the steering head is thicker on the RZV than the RZ/RD.

I think the mirror mounts night be different on the RZV framework
Sorry, I haven't seen one for a long time (Mine's cafe racer style) but I know the mirrors are different between the RZV and the others. :???:

The mirrors are the same as I have fitted RZ ones onto my RD as they look 10000% better. Not sure if the rest is the same thou!

You can use a rzv sub frame, just use the spacers welded to your old rz sub frame or washers.See link and scroll down.

Thanks Guys - looks like a better option than trying to straighten the one I have....
