I am somewhat curious how your bike avoided the crusher. Maybe the Canadian rules differ or maybe just slipped through the cracks. Glad it escaped somehow.

In the UK anyway, that paint scheme came on the later bikes , the 1988 models where a more solid black/yellow or blue/yellow.

Canada only got the TDR250 for 2 years. 1989 and 1990. The 1989 bikes were all Yellow and Black. The 1990 bikes were all Sweet Blue. Very few TDRs were sold here. Less in 1990 than in 1989. I have never seen any TDR on the road here.

It looks like Yamaha Canada has something to do with the bike escaping the crusher.
