Mallory 1000 Classic Bikes 2018

#1 Post by rd84 » Mon Jul 09, 2018 1:08 pm

I did 3 sessions at the Mallory 1000 Classic Bikes - a brilliant weekend - I didn't do the bike justice but really enjoyed myself - first picture shows the bike intact before riding it and the second picture shows the bike still intact after the 3rd session :) .....

The Racetech emulators and brakes were fantastic - along with the Pirelli Supercorsas they really complimented each other - I now need to forget how the original bike handles and learn to lean over much further and brake much harder ! :)

Cheers

Paul

BTW - even though the air temperature was 30 Centigrade I was told the tyre wear pattern was COLD TEAR ?? - What's that all about ? Is there someone who could explain the problem please ?

Thanks.

Paul

Hi Olli,

That's perfect - just what I need to know - I'll try a lower tyre pressure.

Thanks.

Watch all the Dave Moss videos. Very informative. What tire pressures were you starting at cold and did you check when you came in?

The rear was 42psi cold - didn’t think to check them after riding - part of the learning curve - I’ll do it next time - although the bike is a bit too precious to do many track days .... or maybe not
