And then there where 3...

Another TZ250 followed me home recently. The cheeky bugger hopped up into the van and tied itself down ready to go :) How could I turn it away?

The Terrifying Trio :)

I will be cosmetically restoring the bike, maybe do a nice Day-Glo Marlboro paint scheme - and then upgrade many of the other bits with all the YZR250 odds and ends I have managed to collect while looking for YZR500 stuff.

Maybe have look something like this.

Hi, Bike looks great is their much of a power difference between the Honda and the Yamaha.
What type of disks are on the Yamaha.
Cheers Ron.

The Honda dyno'ed with an optimistic 90hp. I am going to take the TZ to the same dyno and will do the bikes back to back for a comparison - even if the numbers are not absolute it will give an idea.

I expect the TZ to be a little stronger than the RS, there are 3 years between them. 1988 vs 1991. And 3 years is an age in racing evolution isn't it?

The brakes, I have been told are ductile iron floating Kosman Racing Brakes. They are only 280mm in diameter to be a bit lighter, apparently the iron rotors made up for it in stopping power. I may swap them for the YZR250 Brembo CNC calipers and 300mm rotor set I have.

I also have some YZR250 triple clamps, a YZR250 tank and have a lead on a YZR250 seat unit as well as some wheels.

John Kosinski replica, would be a fitting tribute to America's last 250cc champion,& probably ever.
So close to 30 YEARS AGO, I saw him race that bike at Laguna...seems like yesterday, but it was 3 decades ago now....sh#t, Fu@k ,Damn?
