500 Two-Stroke Tech

Got to meet Kevin Schwantz earlier this morning, he had plenty of time for everyone and of course loved his 2 strokes.

We had a brief chat about the good old days when he raced an RZ350 and 500, he day say the 500 was a great bike back in its day and while losing some top speed to the 4 strokes, was definitley a finer handling bike at that time.

He also said he recently bought a 0 mile (road going ) RG500 to play around on, he made everyone laugh when he sat on my friends X7 and told a visiting Japanese representative from Suzuki that they should start making them again..

So I was told, he will also be at Wheels Bikes in Peterborough this coming bank holiday Monday 10am to 12pm and BikersWorld in Daventry from 2pm to 4pm.

Very cool, I finished restoring the RZ500 he rode in the Paul Revere 250. Bike runs good but it likes to be revved. I purchased it from Craig Secosan about 2 years ago.
