Let me introduce,

My name is Richard from Veendam, the Netherlands.
Since friday last week i am an owner of a RZ 500, canadian import.
Drove 2 hours in the poring rain to get it home, soked wet... everywhere!!
To do: Left upper exhaust is more dry then the other 3, so think to look at the carbs firs tbefore the next ride, but first i ordered a manual to start with.
Strange that i didn't think i suffered weak power during the trip, it allmost highsided me!
BTW: Do i really need to take the lowe fairing off to get to the carbs or cna it be done by taking the middel section off
Brakes need som TLC, but the ride was (except from the rain) fabulous!

Thanks for your input,

Richard

Ps: I allso own a Honda NS 400 R

Congrats on new bike. looks good. Yes you need to remove the belly pan. Brace the pan up when taking screws out so it does not hang on one side or it can possibly crack.. Suzuki has a grommet for the side fairing lower mount that worked perfect. Looks like your brother has some skills so you should be fine. We are all here to help and enjoy.
