You need bigger pans under it. Sounds good. You still having cool nites for break-in? I rode mine all nite on the first initial heat cycles so the engine would cool down all the way. Even had a state trooper stop when at a gas station at 3 AM to see if all was well. No motorcycle license, but we talked about the bike and he never asked to see it.

That is good to hear and makes you feel good. Rick always told me to run it thru heat cycles to get everything to seat in and stabilize. My break ins would be a 6 hour night ride with lots of stops. Always ran Suzuki CCI oil for break-in and then went to better oils after break-in. Everyone has there own way to break an engine in so who can say what the best method is. We are at 100 this weekend and no rain.. If not careful we will be like Colorado. We need rain.

luckily I knew a guy who knew a guy who had some tygon as absolutely nothing is available locally so new 3/16" F-4040-A main oil line to pump installed (old one was cracking at the reservoir nipple), he didn't have any 1/8" so left injection lines stock...

400km's sofar!!!! :smt041

That is good to hear. Happy for you. US PLastics for oil lines if you decide to replace. Small engine shop or RC shop also.

Good to here it's running well, try Canadian tire for the fuel line, it's in the motorcycle section made by Ignition. I'm pretty sure it's tygon as it's very soft and stays that way, I use it on my bikes as fuel line so I can see it. Only comes in pink for the 1/8", if you don't mind that it's a cheap option.

regreased rear suspension recently, coolant level is steady and holding, same as trans oil... so it seems no leaks, plug colour seems to be running slightly rich but that's better than melted electrodes LOL!!!!

1200km's and counting... which is just about where she was when the right upper went last time... but I got a good feeling about how she's runnin this time!!!! (fingers x'd LOL!!!!)

thanx Blackshaheen!!!! unseasonably nice weather here so I ventured further that I ever ventured with her before... 400km roadtrip and made it back 15 minutes before it got dark.... maxed her out to 140km/h at 6100rpm in top gear (speedin tickets can cost $10,000 here :smt010 )

other than some singular bits of backfiring at part throttle it ran like a champ!!!!

ok men, running good so I head out for a rip yesterday and all's fine on the hiway, turn into town and then not so good at idle/part throttle, almost like the pilot air jet problem I originally had but I removed them and they're clean as a whistle... removed all plugs and a couple looked slightly fouled so replaced with new ones... problem is won't idle properly have to give it more twist to keep running and to start off.... I'll remove the carbs today and givem a good cleaning and try again.... damn I hate re and re them damned carbs LOL!!!! :(

Hi Bolly
Idle and ride away is all pilot jet as you already know.
Most problems are in the carbs on these bikes.
Which plugs are effected, and are they fouled with oil or wet with gas?
I am thinking dirt or rust stuck in the carb. Good luck, let us know how it goes.
Colin

all 4 main jets were slightly constricted and all 4 pilot jets were 1/2 plugged solid with loose deposits, bowls had noticeable sediment and some some chunks..... lotsa crud collected in my parts washer after finishing all 4!!!! sadly I dont have air so all I'm workin with is a can of brake clean and a tupperware container!!!!
