Lightweight generator, i.e. flywheel, windings (stator) and pick up coils (all from RGV250 VJ22), adapter plate from billet 7075 aluminum, Ignitech DC-CDI.
The generator supports lights and all electrical "appliances" of a road bike.
Kit works only with a DC-CDI; the only adjustable (via serial or USB port & available from the shelf) DC-CDI that I know is Ignitech.
The flywheel can be machined upon request to save some more weight.
The weight saving is about 50-60% of rotating mass. A plus is the extra space for bigger carbs.
Fitting of the kit requires a minimum of mechanical and electrical knowledge and a slight modification of wiring terminals.

Sumitomo sealed wiring terminals can be supplied upon request with the kit.
Coils (two with dual outlet or four with single outlet) can be supplied upon request with the kit.
Servo (dual stage) can be supplied upon request with the kit.
Race wiring (supports battery, on off switch, PV controller & servo, CDI) can be supplied upon request with the kit.
Road wiring (supports all electric functions) can be supplied upon request with the kit.
Both wirings are new and with sealed Sumitomo terminals.

Borut (Zeeltronic) has DC-CDI as well, have you tried his?
Do stock RD500 cois work with IGNITECH
I suppose yes, since PDCI-20V is for coils with primary resistance 0.3-0.6 Ohmwolfgangh wrote:or ZEELTRONIC DC-CDI
NO BUTwolfgangh wrote: as well or is change of coils reuqired?
Market offers a plethora of coils with primary resistance 0.3-0.6 Ohm at prices from 100 US $ the set (complete with wires/caps). Why one has to stick with a pair of 25 year old coils?
