Ah, thanks. Yes, makes sense since this was the Daytona bike. Pressurized fuel filling makes a fiery mess if a mishap occurs... As seen in F-1 :-o

Sorry, I dont know as it came with a bike I bought.
I could make some molds, but only if their was enough interest to make it worth while, but I doubt that anyone would be interested.

Johnny C

I'm interested in a seat unit. Only up the road from you in Wigan. What are you putting it on?

Hi Dave,

Wow “Wiganâ€￾, you should come to the workshop sometime as its even closer to you as its in Burscough, call in anytime.

The seat unit came as a spare when I got a Spondon RD500 TTF1 bike.
The fairings fitted to it are from EMC250.

As yet I have not found an OW68/69 fairing which I can copy.
I hope to build a bike like an OW68 but this will have to be next year as I have got a 2 other bikes to build this year, one which needs to be finished for the Isle of Man in June,
plus I have got other carbon fibre body kits on order Aprilia RS250 & Suzuki RG500. So my toy, the OW68/69 will just have to wait.

I have not yet made the 3 molds for the OW68/69 seat as yet, as I am finishing off making a full set of molds for RG 500 (Road bike) for a customer in USA. These should be finished very soon.
I will then make these molds sometime in February.
I can make these in either Fibreglass or Carbon Fibre.

Here is a link to more photos of the seat:-

Best regards

I am in for a seat unit as well. The YZR680/OW69 shares much visually with the YZR500/OW60.

Small changes between fairings - and it looks like a OW76/81 fairing I have coming in might be might be a good starting point to modify for the fairing upper. Or maybe even part of a TZ750 fairing.

But a pucka seat unit will really get the job done for an OW60/69 replica.

Ok Chaps, you have twisted my arm enough now!
As I said in previous post I will make these seat molds sometime in February, & start making late Feb/March if thats ok?

I will contact those who have expressed an interest in February.

Many thanks
