Re: Running stock upper pipes without heat shields

Hello everyone, I am running TSI spec pipes which don't have any heat sheidling, as the pipes were designed for this configuration. I have not wrapped them, nor have I ceramic coated them as this would increase the internal temperature and effect the way the pipe works. I took a different approach and used adhesive heat sheilding stuck to the inside of the faring and the underside of the tank. this made an amazing difference. The TSI pipes are a lot fatter in the belly and as such require a completely new customized rear fairing from the tank backwards. My bike is now a single seater with an emphasis on a GP style; bugger that the bottom TSI pipes cannot be routed to the right to look more GP whilst still retaining the original swingarm.
cheers
Pete
