Yes, it was fine in neutral and not under load which made it all the more confusing. In the end I put it on a dyno hoping to find what electrical item was breaking down but after a few runs power dropped from 65bhp to 50 and dyno man said straight away it was the crank seals. Thanks for organising the event Geoff, I think those that made it along found it a very special day indeed, including a few laps of Donnington among like minded peeps from the VJMC.

You should never need to rely on the oil level switch. Never. Think of the switch like an oil light in a car. When it come on it's already too late. I have seen engines seize 10 seconds after the oil light comes on. If any oil remains in the switch tube, which often occurs, it doesn't send a signal...

Wee correction there, we had the Streetsmarts fitted as you said above Phil, in standard sizes 120/80-16 and 130/80-18.
