Re: More Customs
I could look at the bikes in this thread all day long.....in fact, considering its cold and rainy and I am not in the shape to hit the tools, I will do just that!

Re: R6 Clip-ons?
Yeah agree 100% Steve is the man.
Unfortunately I am so far away and with a currency that makes anything pricey, its not an option for me.
I had heard that he was stopping this work or read it somewhere

Re: Assistance with ID'ing a bolt plse
Thanks Steve..
As I read the drawing, its the bolt that passes thru the relay arms where they attach to the underside of the main frame yeah?
Edit: Having a look at the thread you referenced, will post a pic of the underside of my RZV frame, its quite different to the steel frame.

Hey Kalim
Reviving your old thread....would you mind advising what material you used for the collars, the ones you refer to as pre treated ?
Thanks

Assistance with ID'ing a bolt plse
Guys I am starting to assemble my rear suspension and on this bike I never had it whole so I don't have a historical reference for what went where. Can any body please let me know where the bolt below goes? Its a two piece affair and the one end has a very small hex....like 8mm or less. Thanks in ad...

Re: RZ500 Steering Srem to R6 Triple
Big guy...if you look back in the threads, you will see the pic of the one I just did. I sketched it up if you want some of the critical sizes but mine was off an 06 R6 IMHO its better to make a new steering stem as opposed to getting the RZV's to fit the R6 lower TC. If you make it out of the corre...

Re: R6 Clip-ons?
Hey Big guy,
I am in the same process, just with an 06 R6 parts lot but also RZV as opposed to RZ.
I just finished with the newly machine steering stem set up and now moving onto the rear swinger - are you doing this work yourself?
Cheers

Re: Steering Bearing Part Numbers
Thanks Steve....gonna check around and see if they are stocked locally. One of the members has also offered me a genuine Koyo set which I am also considering. ...I am by nature quite impatient once I start something so am angling for a locally held item. The RZV lower seal doesnt sit correctly on tb...

Re: Steering Bearing Part Numbers
Hi Folks Some life into an old post....I am busy searching for replacement steering bearings for my RZV project. Obviously I need to do the seals as well, following on the advice from this thread, I tried getting genuine Koyo bearings from the Koyo agents here in South Africa....problem is they seem...

Re: CAD and Scale Drawings of RZ500 for Sharing - Swingarm
I have some sizes in my notes from my RZV frame....it suggests the inside size where the swinger pivots is 242.7mm....thats no clearance for oil seals or the like.
I have the rzv swingarm on a shelf..will check overall width and advise
