Hi Paul, My now gone rd500 always ran on Castrol TTS think its now called : Power 1 TTS i've also heared many use Phutolene ( Spelling ? ) Only problem I can see you've got is if the RZV has been running on mineral based oil like Castrol R and then you put synthetic oil in like TTS i've been told it...

Headlight goe's dim then bright ????

Any Idea what my problem is ?? Fully charged battery ..... Powervalves turn when ignitions switched on ... Noticed tonight on ride home from Shardlow 2 Stroke Meeting that my headlight seemed very dim ??? Just had a look at in before putting the bike away ..... Under 3000 rev's the headlights normal...

Finally .... Thanks again for the replys :grin: I've gone for it and orderd Bridgestone 45's 120/80V16 and 130/80V18 as these seem to be the most talked about when making enquiries :grin: '' The Old Nail '' will be getting a small'ish service while she's out of action .... Plugs / Gearbox Oil / Cable Check ........

Advice Please , Well after almost binning the 500 yesterday while out on a local ride around the Donnington / Melbourne / Ashbourne / Breedon area's ( Derbyshire / Leicestershire / England ) I feel its time to put a new set of boots on her :???: My 500 has been fitted with the same continental tyres...
