Re: Custom Motorcycle Welding School
It’s maybe 7-8 years ago I put out about $2k for a multi process machine from Everlast Generator, very fancy all digital and very heavy, what’s especially interesting and one of the selling points for me was the “pulsed” mig feature. Sadly I’ve been occupied with work and many other obligations all ...

Toomey Expansion Chambers
Still looking for a set of Toomey exhaust to replace the ones I sold with my RZ500 in the early 90s.
Any condition considered but they must be original Toomey from 1985-86

Ebay wanted ad?
Never seen this before a reverse “wanted” ad on the eBay platform, surprised it hasn’t been flagged yet. The gentleman appears to be looking for an engine, no indication what their price range is, my suspicion n it’s just one of those Craigslist two strokes wanted people looking for something they c...

Re: marlboro paint code?
All fluorescent color will disappear when exposed to UV sunlight, and very quickly in bright Florida sun. Neon colors last less than 12 months even with UV protective clears if continual exposure. The consolation is the Marlboro livery is fairly straightforward and easy enough to freshen up as neede...

Re: My project (1GE)
These guys cut the rim and weld wider elements to accomplish a completely stock but wider rim. For the RD500 they offer 4.75x18 and 3.75x17 for around 630/690 Euro each (incl German TÜV approval) : https://www.deget.de/yamaha-rd-500-felgenverbreiterung/ I contacted them and this is the reply I got....

Re: RZ/RZV Original Yamaha Paint
Frame and swing arm are anodized. No real way to copy that, unless you find a place that will re anodized the parts after stripping old anodizing off. Have yet to see anyone successful with that process. http://www.customfighters.com/forums/imagehosting/125615ad933abb7d36.jpg Soda blasting is the o...
