Re: More Customs

I really like how they've routed the pipes to keep them short on the naked bike!

Re: Upper Cylinder Oil Feed Top or Bottom....

It's kind of funny how people are saying that Yamaha designed it for a reason, and yet almost everyone here changes numerous parts trying to make the bike "better" than Yamaha originally designed it!!

Re: VF1000R - 4 of them

Was the tip to take all 4 boots off the motor side and just let them sit there while you position the carbs over them and push all 4 on at one time?

Re: VF1000R - 4 of them

Ha ha, yeah, tons of parts. I used to do V65 magna carbs all the time for customers, and got pretty handy with them. The biggest pain in the ass was just trying to get them to go back into the carb boots! It took a can of WD40, a heat gun, and a prybar to coax them back into place.

Re: Splitting the cases

Drill the head off, split the case and then weld a nut to it when the tension on the threads has relaxed

Re: Checking Fuel Level in carbs

The prime feature WILL slowly overrun your float needles. Therefore it can cause errors in float readings.
