Forks have just been fully rebuilt, new oil, seals and dust seals....springs are within spec.
Andi dives have been stripped, unsiezed and rebuilt.

Quick answer needed please

Rode the 500 tonight with a bit 'more anger' and had the front end bottom out on the brakes. Its a bog std set up, factory spec............. So what do I need to do? Do I need to pack the springs, if so by how much? Does it need more oil? Does it need a different grade of oil? Bike is going back to ...

90387-061M0- Collar

Side panels and tail piece are held in place using this collar....but it is no longer available.

Is this just a piece of tube to prevent the plastics getting crushed, or does it have a washer included?
Anyone have one to photograph for me?

Or is it no longer used on the later bikes?

Brand new Mikuni shut off valves, and float heights set with the pipe up the side method...................................


And success!!!!!!

There is a difference between the Tourmax shut offs and the Mikuni ones.................

New shuts used altho kit original Mikuni ones.

Float heights set to 24mm.....just checked float height using the pipe up the side method and it is showing flat heights are too high...

So 24mm is not high enough then....

Carbs wont stop pi$$ing out fuel..........

Just trying to finish off the 500, but the carbs wont stop pi$$ing out fuel, despite them being fully rebuilt with new shut off valves, and the float height set to 24mm, as per the revision..............


PLEASE HELP!

If you can't find any new ones and your handy in the shop, you can make them like I did. A good bicycle shop will have the same size lined cable housing, inner cable, and end ferrules. They might even have the end barrels but I made mine and silver soldered them on. I reused the original adjusters....
