Re: pick up gap

Before buying a zeel, measure the resistance of the pickup coil, and the ignition coils. Also the stator coils. Then check the ignition cable for rotten copper wire where they're plugged into the coils and the plug cap. Last but not least check your kill switch. It might also help to install a separ...

Re: pick up gap

This i posted some weeks ago concerning gap adjustment: Another simple thing is to measure the pickup gap. 1. Measure the diameter of the rotor between the two pickup surfaces. Devide by two- that’s no.1 to note. Then measure the diameter of the stator . These core segments are turned precisely to a...

Don't forget to give the pushrod enough play. Adjustable behind the rubber plug of the sprocket cover.

Re: Remove the balance shaft

I was thinking about this too for a while but it is a lot of work to do, especially of it is not as expected. You can try it, by just uncoupling the balancer. remove the gear and run it. The challenge is , you should fix the balancer against free rotation then, as it will start to rotate freely to f...

Re: lower bank does not fire up

Hey franco
If you did connect the plus wire of the bottom coil ( with wire extension ) to the bottom coil, and it didn’t fire the bottom cylinders, then it can be a fouling coil. Change the coils from top to bottom!

Re: Backfire when kicking over -Zeeltronic

Well I have tried to get it to stay open when kicking. No way so far. I tried to switch the starting and end angle. No chance, the servo starts to flicker . Programming 100 % to any low rpms won’t change the static behavior when you switch on the ignition. What we want for kicking. This starting ang...

Re: Backfire when kicking over -Zeeltronic

I think the PV is always closed at start, so programming fully open is not easily possible. To have it open , you might switch the pv cables at the servo mechanically. Your program should be vice versa then, starting with 100% And opening will be 0% then.

Re: lower bank does not fire up

Try to reduce gap to around 0.7 mm. Check the grounding of the lower coil. The minus terminal can be connected directly to the frame. Try to connect the plus wire from the top coil to the bottom coil.just to check if on your bottom plus line is something wrong. This would indicate a broken wire or I...

Re: Everybody: your squish height, Vcc and CR?

Hey Franco, Sorry for not continuing my notes, had big trouble with misfiring on the first rides after. 10-20 km. Checked all ignition components, and replaced coils and cables. Saw some sparks jumping off the Top plugcaps to my electric support under the tank. but In the end, I had to rejet signifi...
