Re: YSR 80

Nigh on a year on, I thought id update this , Ive managed a few hundred miles on the YSR during the Summer with our little YSR clan, have had some great laughs and as memorable ride outs as my bigger bikes , its proved more reliable than my 2021 Triumph as well! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/5...

Re: Operation: TRIPLE THREAT - 1985 NS400R Rothmans Project

Super buy...I think that will test your patience somewhat, I struggled to get parts for mine back in 1988 and they are a more fragile beast than the 500, 'thou of course the web has made it easier since.

Looking forward to your updates on it!

Re: Asbestos use on RZV500R

Surely the answer is just to state " I declare that to the best of my knowledge my bike does not contain asbestos parts"....Go looking for problems and you can always find them!

Re: YamBits Cables?

Yep, had a Yambits open cable on my 500 for a few years and around 2,500 miles now...The clutch cable is reportedly fine as well. ive never had an issue with anything from Yambits in a decade or so if purchases for all my LCs, im using them more and more now Yamaha prices have reached increasingly d...

Re: Tyres and brakes

I run the Avon Roadriders on both my 500 and 350, the 350 now wearing the new Roadrider 2's, never had any cause for complaint with them. I have Brembo brake pads and HEL lines on my 500, with disconnected anti dives, they are noticeably better than the OE pads and rubber lines, while they wont matc...

Re: Track Day Tyres

None taken my friend, but I'd be quite happy to do a few laps on the RD. People like to see these bikes too, so it's also a public service!! I would certainly like to see it! I've only done some parade laps on my 500 , had a set new-ish Avons fitted , in between the traffic, I gave it as much as I ...

Re: YSR 80

Very nice build. I have one I got from my Nephew. Before I got it a friend of his screwed around with it and I assume ran it without oil. Brilliant decision. I thought about throwing my CR125 LC engine in it as a mini street fighter but I'm thinking better to use any air cooled YZ80/100/125 for spa...

YSR 80

Anyone here have a wee YSR in their garage? I've been bending a friends ear for a few years to sell me his and he finally caved in last September, he has 2 or 3 others now anyway. Said friend had done on the chassis/paintwork some years back but the engine and items such as the brakes where untouche...
