Re: RZV500 decals
Mine is pretty worn, I thought it was readable, but no. Has this progressed at all?

Re: Carb question
Check the fuel line placements for kinks and bends, and also ( from experience) the correct connection from the tank to the petcock, and petcock to the carbies.
Somehow, the carbie line, and fuel line got swapped on my RZV....gnomes and fairies

Re: Reed Block Orientation ?
I understood that the two lines were to face the head that they were on, so the lowers point down, the uppers point up.
Can anyone clarify this ( having just started changing reed valves)

Clamp location
Hi all,
I am working on cleaning my RZV and have the radiator and carburettors off, as well as the radiator hoses. The clamp (26) highlighted in the image is in my hand.
I can see the hose it goes onto, but where does it bolt to? I cant recall taking it off!

Speedo pull apart
I have a RZV500R and the speedo has a noise in it. How does it come apart?
I can see the screws behind, but it has a sealed look about it. Any tips or tricks?
Cheers

Have a look at 2:08 on this video

And having another look on mine, the studs are shorter than the picture from Bill's

Engine stone guard( not fairing mounted stone guard)
I was wondering if the engine stone guard was a standard fit on the 51X RZV500R?
I have in place the fairing stone guard on my 51X, but not the engine mounted guard ( which I see is 47X-1111x-00 Cover 1 cylinder) that I discovered existed today.
If so, anyone have one for sale?
Cheers

Re: THE RZ/RD/RZV500R 30TH ANNIVERSARY ENGINEERS INTERVIEW
I keep noticing brake rotors on gold wheels either black or gold. Even in this interview there are two gold wheels, one with blck rotor , and the other with gold. I have seen this elsewhere as well. Is there any imformation on this production difference?

Tyres in Australia
What are all the Australian RZ riders using as rubber? I see the options are limited, and so far have found it to Avon AM26, Pirelli Angel Sports Demon, Continental ContiGo! and Dunlop GT501.
Anyone have any feedback on these tyres?

Bleeding Brakes
I have rebuilt the front callipers with new seals and o rings, and have a new master cylinder. I cannot get any brake pressure at all, and there are no leaks. There must be an air lock somewhere.
Any tips or tricks?

Re: 47x-50 CDI XRAY
So it turns out this CDI, and another from a dismantlers were faulty. I went to a classic bike meeting, found a guy who had a RZ ( well he actually has four, and four RG 500's !). He took them and put them on a working RZ, and they did not spark ( one did intermittently, which explains why it starte...

Re: zeeltronic pcdi-24v split bank timing
Hi Bungerlowbill. Can I ask what happened with the Tunebox CDI? My CDI gave up two days after I got my RZV ( but I couldn't be sure that it was the CDI). I got a second hand one from a wrecker, and it did not work ( so still I did not know 100% that the CDI was the root cause of my ignition woes). S...
