Re: RZ500 Parts Ottawa
For anyone interested regarding the cylinders mentioned above, here's the deal on them. They came with a rough project bike that I had restored a few years ago.. According to the seller of the project, he ran the bike with these cylinders for roughly 20 minutes, and shut it off as it was noisy. He d...

Re: RG500 for sale Toronto
A couple of weeks ago there was an RG in Red Deer, AB on kijiji. Ask was 15k, sat for 10 or so years, had rough body work. Seller stated that he had 3 and a 1/2 RGs in total, and was on his way to Ottawa to grab the remains where they were stored and possibly sell them too. He also said he had a ton...

1990's Yamaha Super tenere - wanted
Thought I'd cast a bigger net than my Alberta kijiji ad, so here goes. Looking for a decent Yamaha Super Tenere, 1990-ish, preferably in western Canada as I'm in Edmonton. I'm aware of the two that are currently on kijiji Canada wide, but thought someone may have an idea or source of a friend with o...

I will try and get some. 1976 Magazine. Really good story and pictures. http://www.eurospares.com/graphics/CanAm_Rotax/CanAmTwinCG197606.pdf Very cool. A friend of mine has one of these in his basement, along with a race version I believe. He was/is a well connected Bombardier guy, former race mecha...

Re: Cost of bike repair and restoration
If you buy a GPZ550 you'll have all the bikes I lusted after 30 years ago. Man, I had a friend growing up in Kirkland Lake, and while I had a shiny new RD350LC, he had a wickedly modified GPZ550. Love to get one of those someday. Adding to the lusted after bike list, another guy at the time had a C...

Re: Cost of bike repair and restoration
Very nice rides! I went to see a guy with two 750 Interceptors a month ago but passed on them; one complete and another in parts. Both for the grand total of 400 bucks. Too many bikes in the garage.
I would, however, have room for a VF1000R project should one materialize..

Re: Cost of bike repair and restoration
We all know how much it costs us to restore, fix or maintain our bikes. This makes a good read, im glad such costs are not anywhere near what we see. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/features/crash-can-cost-100000-money-behind-motogp-racing/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; G...

Re: OK NS400R Numbers
A stock 350 couldn't touch it. Even my modified 90 RZ350 was less capable than my stock NS400R, in all aspects. My 350 felt quicker and had a much better power band, but the 400 properly ridden would outpace it. Of course, that meant keeping the 400 above 7500 RPM at all times. The 400 is 160 KPH i...

Stock exhaust silencer refinishing
Anyone have the best process to get the lower silencers as close to stock looking as possible? Mine have a few scrapes that need to be sanded out which of course makes them look worse!
Thanks in advance!
