Perfect! I look forward so see it dressed in carbon works!

Re: rs500v2 hybrid
Looks very good! If you run the same set-up as me with the oil pump, remember to use oil check valves into the carbs also. Unless, I'm not sure if you get proper lubrication of the big end bearing due to imbalance of the oil supply from the pump. Also warm up slowly before revving

Re: rs500v2 hybrid
I look forward to receive cylinders I bought from you Gary! Does anyone have some information on porting these cylinders? I have thought about making a radius from the cylinder liner to the transfer boost port, and open up the boost port a little bit. I also want to enlarge the piston skirt windows ...

Re: TZR500 Race bike
Hi Smoker! Bill recommended the wiseco wrist pin which seem heavier. I'll look into that option!

Re: TZR500 Race bike
Thanks for the input Rick! The feedback I get from all of you is highly valued!! O though the engine project looks good in general, I'm far from an expert, just a two-stroke addicted with high ambitions

Re: TZR500 Race bike
Thanks for the advice! Piston wrist pin off-set is the reason for the custom rear piston set-up. Both cylinder banks has the off-set towards the rotational direction. The TZ4DP lower pistons also have a standard cut-out towards the inlet side. If you where to use the TZ4DP pistons at the rear bank, ...

Re: TZR500 Race bike
Forgot to mention Alexander, but the rear 1RK pistons where also machined to have a flat top like the forward pistons.

Re: TZR500 Race bike
Hi Bill! Thanks for the feedback. I don't remember exactly the weight differance, but I think it was 12-13 grams. I'm not sure if the forward pistons can be lightened this much by only removing aluminium from "non important areas". I'll have another look. However, they are pressed in by fo...

Re: TZR500 Race bike
Hi! Originally, I used standard RD500 cranks and rods. Since I needed to make new adapter plates anyway, I made them 10mm thicker and bought Krauser 500 rods which have the same dimentions as RD, only 10mm longer. Foreward Pistons are Yamaha TZ250 4DP. They fit right in. Rear pistons are Yamaha TZ25...

Re: TZR500 Race bike
Thanks Gary! As you see from the dyno chart above Alexander, it made 111 rwhp at 10.400rpm with a waterleak into one cylinder present. The new cylinder adapter plates solves the problem, and increases crankcase volume in addition with longer rods. The TZ cylinders and exhaust should make most power ...

Re: rs500v2 hybrid
Hi Eyrey! Very nice project!! In an earlier thread, you mentioned that you bought 4 barrels for the v-due engine. I'm looking for barrels, pistons and heads. Do you have some in spare for sale?!

Hi AX-Racing! Wonderful projects! A question regarding the clutch cover. Have you made it yourself, or available to buy?

Re: TZR500 Race bike
Hi all of you two stroke lovers! Thought it was time to give you an update regarding my RD500 build with TZ barrels. I have not been on the lazy side with projects and machining, but have had some issues with my spine and also been working on a RG500 project. I know, it's a suzuki ;) To make a long ...
