Re: Wind shield identification
Ok, so basically confirms what I also found out. Maybe there is a collector or air/oil cooled Suzuki enthusiast who can use them, at least the better one... But I guess for a real collector even one crack is too much and everyone else just buys an aftermarket one. Offered them on the internet for fr...

Wind shield identification
After I moved to our new house and garage I`m sorting out old junk. Reoganizing stuff to get everything ready to come "back to normal life" and enjoying my hobby again after some years filled with kids, moving from city to city and building a home, hopefully for the rest of my life :smt007...

Re: Head scratcher
A while ago i got a call from a friend, a guy from italy wants to join a track day in hungary but he tested his bike just some days before the trip and suprise... it runs only on choke or at 1/3 open throttle. Told him he should clean the carbs. Next day I got the message that he cleaned the carbs b...

Re: Head scratcher
Dirty orifices of the idle system.
Engine only runs on choke (which gives the engine some extra fuel with closed carbs).

Re: Seat pad foam
Sorry, no news. The manufacturer I asked did not really understand what's needed and the piece price was somewhere in the range of good used parts. I expected that the other better manufacturer would be even more expensive, so I did not ask. At the moment we are building a house. No time, no money f...

Re: Need CAD Advice
Didn`t see that early enough... +1 for MK`s proposal to buy (used) business laptops. At the moment I`m using a Dell Precision 7740 at work. At home I decided to keep the same brand as I use for ~16-17 years now Fujitsu. My first laptop was such a consumer stuff which went back to where it came from ...

Re: japan leading the prices?
I had one in the garage for a while. Super not impressed. I'd do the later 250 if I ever do one again. Compared to RD350 and RD500 the NS400R was the better (race) bike in my opinion. RG500 is the only one I have never tried. You can't compare it to more modern bikes including later 250... Thats a ...

Re: Needle bearings for Shock. Better part number?
All bearings from wheel bearings to swing arm bearings are standard parts. Most of them are available as you find them in the bike from 1984/85, some are a bit different. One of the wheel bearings in only "made in Taiwan" available instead of "made in Japan" (Yamaha part). Other ...

Last one is still there.
In the next years I will not have time to do more of them as I start to build a house next month.

Re: Mirror Swap for the 500's / 350's
Looked at them today and they have a slight steeper angle at the base and they can`t be mounted this way without modifying the base. They do have the same moulding lines but maybe not that visible (OEM mirrors) I think they are Honda mirrors. But you never know, Japanese OEM`s often use the parts fr...
