Re: Carbs running bad

Have you checked the plugs to make sure you're not actually wetting out, had the exact same symptoms on mine first couple of rides. Changed the plugs out and everything went fine. In hind sight could have had bad plugs but I would think that's pretty rare.

Re: Throttle Cable experiences?

I bought a Yambits throttle cable for my 500 and yes the oil pump cable was a bit too long, I had to shim it at the housing end. Not a big issue but if you're not into or good at modifying cables it may cause you some headaches. This is the only Yambits part I've ever had an issue with though. I've ...

Here she is at first race, unfortunately it couldn't get past 2nd gear, will have to split the cases again and look at the transmission closer. Sounds awesome just sitting there though.

Re: RZ for local sale

I guess it all depends on how much you want something, how much money you have and where you are. "Stupid money" is a very old term. The fact that you were willing to pay 6K for a rough non-runner could be called stupid by some. When I see someone pay 10K for a collectible sports card, toy...

Re: She's smokin on all 4 today!!!!

Just put 60km on the 500 tonight, first time out on it this year...4 kicks and smoked the neighbors out, ran like a top. I do love riding that bike, gets a lot of attention. Good to see you're out and about after the Canadian winter. I'm almost done the RM370, more smoke to come.

+1 on Venhill. Used them on my 500 and won't use anything else again, especially for a custom fit.

New Sheene Bio

Put this and "Rush" together and you get "When Playboys Ruled the World". Hope this is as good as "Rush". Wonder if King Kenny will help with this film as they were great rivals and he would be a part of this history. http://www.sheene.com/" onclick="window.op...

Seeing as we're naming companies, maybe tell us what exactly is wrong with the webs/job. Saying it's a mess could mean many different things.

Re: cranks and crank parts

Is there a particular reason why none of this design and production work can be done in the USA? Are there no engineering and machining companies hungry for work in the USA? - what makes this work only able to be carried out in the far east? North America has farmed most of it's manufacturing overs...

Re: RZ500 decals again

I ordered my complete set of RZ500 decals from Diablo and they were spot on, white is the proper non-metallic. I've used both companies and have had great results with both, I use RDdecals for custom orders. If there is a problem with the decals from Diablo I would contact them and see what they say...

Re: Ultrasonic Carb Cleaner

I bought one of the Chinese 6L models from an American supplier about 5 years ago, works great, still humming along. I think it was about $275 to my door but that was when our dollar was on par. I was looking on Ebay and most seem to have the digital controls which I'm not sure about with the vibrat...

Re: new project! 1974 CR250M

While I'm sure there are a few of these around here sitting in garages just waiting to be found, Ontario and Quebec just seem to be gold mines for these old bikes. Nice in some ways to have a huge population base. What are your intentions with the twin, find more unobtainium for it, rider, vintage MX?
