I would be trying an original set of pipes to see if you can get some stomp back below 8k.

Re: Quick answer needed please

The stock springs could be completely wrong for your weight and riding style, as mentioned make sure they are properly serviced then set the sag. Adding spacers or preload will not alter the weight of spring. Adding more oil could make the forks hydraulic lock sooner in the forks travel. also have y...

Re: Cylinder base gasket material

Quote. The original 350 gasket is a simple paper gasket and it failed after maybe 5000km. Yes, it was installed dry, no oil on the gasket. Trust me, your problem is not the gasket material. do you know for a fact the mating surfaces are flat and true ? are you using genuine stock thickness base gask...

Re: coil question

In a word No, Apart from the coils having their own positive and negative, electrical connectivity is maintained through the bolt thread and under side of bolt. Make sure your bolts are good clean metal and run a tap through the internal threads on the frame. I have seen bikes were the owner has scr...

Re: need help identifying my newly acquired RG 500

In the UK at least buyers now seem less bothered with a frame or engine number, which makes complete sense as there is no difference between the frames and cases (once the upper case has been bored)
The 400 cases get a much easier life.

Re: Blowing Fuse

This fuse also drives fan motor. Take a look at the thermo switch and fan motor. I guess you have something wrong there. Thats kind of correct, The servo shares a circuit with the the thermo sender unit (which then operates the fan) living in Ireland at this time of year cant imagine you will suffe...

Re: RZV500R....An attempt at turning back the clock

Check the 10 amp fuses in the cockpit, The ypvs shares a circuit with the temp regulator sender If this shorts and blows the fuse your ypvs will cease to function. Happened to mine.
