Re: making RD500 wireharness work with RZ500

Retired, Best suggestion I could make would be to make a drawing of the relevant plugs and wires. Since you know what wires lead from the lights to the harness; and what wires lead from the switches to the harness, you know what switch wires should be used to control what light etc. Then look on the...

Re: Choke not working/plungers stuck

Instead of trying to force them out you may wish to try soaking the carb bodies in solvent. You can get gallon buckets of solvent from most autoparts stores. I've used it before to clean carbs. Let it soak overnight and they come out looking like new.

Yeah, I'm kinda liking that stylized 46 as well. Has to be some connection to Rossi. Especially since he has expressed his affection for the 500's.

making RD500 wireharness work with RZ500

Have been working to get Mickey's RZ500 working and because I was having electrical problems, I decided to get a new wire harness. The old one had suffered some damage in the past, looked like from overcharging by the previous owner. No matter where I looked I could not find a RZ500 harness. It's pa...

Re: Mickey Krupa Tribute Build Thread

Well, I hope I got the video issues sorted. I didn't really want to use youtube bc of their privacy policy (you have none once you post) and so I used archive.org. It's a non-profit project to archive the electronic content of humanity for future reference. Nice to set simple goals, huh! Anyway you ...

Re: Mickey Krupa Tribute Build Thread

Hey All, Wow, it's been months since I posted. Man doesn't feel like that amount of time. But, guess it really flies when you have kids. Been a busy end of the year. Decided to put a lot of the bike and car projects on the backburner over the winter and get caught up on some house projects and fun s...

Re: Mickey Krupa Tribute Build Thread

Thanks Tom. Sorry, didnt try or mean to offend. On to more exciting info, XMas came early this year. Received the new silencers from TZMike. Wow! they are fantastic, as you can see below. The welds on the aluminum are artistic, the workmanship unparalleled and they weigh about as much a full ...

Re: I hate to say it....

I think its also related to today's modern world. Everybody wants the "quick fix" "newest thing" and nobody's willing to learn how to fix anything anymore. I wouldn't even consider myself you the same league as people like you and Brian Turfrey; but I repair and maintain all my o...
