Re: corrcet fitting of reed valve

Mine are facing out but they are highly modified with centre bar removed and TDR reeds ect. but I have looked at standard ones and I cannot see why it would matter which way round they go. If it does matter i would like to know what difference it does make. Bill Wilson will defo know the answer.

Re: Cylinder Head gasket

My bike has the o ring heads done by BDK and although ive not ridden it much (maybe 50 miles) it has been started a lot of times and it never overheats but I also have a high flow impeller fitted as well.

Re: Jim Lomas pipe fit

Hope this works as I'm not sure how to post pics but here goes, these hopefully are the Mick Abbey pipes he made and fitted for me. To say I'm well pleased with them is a massive understatement and they sound fantastic. There is no touching on the bodywork when its fitted and before anyone shouts it...

Re: Upper Cylinder Oil Feed Top or Bottom....

Yamaha designed everything for a reason. Reason might be "costs" in many cases. It's a mass production bike for the middle price market, for sure not everything is the best of the best. Well said! we all like to think we can improve the bike whether we do is another matter but we sure do ...

Re: Head resurfacing and squish re-profile?

Mick Abbey tuned my engine and made the exhausts a top job as well, at the time he couldn,t re-profile the heads but he might do now. It would worth giving him a call to find out.
