Syntheitic oil can draw in moisture in very humid climates?

I just read this today; written by a sled engine builder from Minnesota when recommending that his engines be run on mineral blends. I think he meant it was a problem during off season storage.

This is a new one on me. Anyone else ever hear of this?

Ya, I remember it started in 1977 or 78; my old man nearly hit a kid for spilling some of his 60 cent/gallon gas on the ground. The law was supposed to create jobs; it didn't; I see it all the time at small stations, some poor guy or gal is there all alone, pumping fuel and running the little store....

Here in Oregon our stupid law states that you can pump your own gas. Diesel vehicles were always an exception. I think it was back in the 90s they amended it so bikers could fill their own tanks. To bad the pump attendants don't know this; min wage doesn't attract the cream of the crop to the job an...

Rumor has it that the bike at the show was a non-running mock-up, made to mess with the other manufacturers and was never intended for production. Fuel injection in 1971? Would have been a nightmare. Kawasaki pulled a similar stunt around '76: http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/3306/mysterybike6ab.j...

Too bad it was never produced; it would have been a triple killer back in the day. Probably a inexperienced rider killer too; probably why it never went into production.

Wow, 100whp and ~1000 rpm lower. How much longer are the pipes than say JM or JLs? Must be right around 900mm tuned length?
